History
LifeWisdom.com was first published in 1999 with categorized proverbs, sayings, quotations and concepts.
In the early 2000's, I became a father. I began to wonder what would happen to my daughter if suddenly something happened to me. What if I could not complete the conveyance of my wisdom to her? What could I leave behind as a reference text to help her answer the question, "What would daddy say?" I created a database of wisdom that I would impart to my child.
Over the next few years of letting my thoughts about wisdom marinate, it occurred to me that other kids could benefit from my wisdom as well. I decided to turn my wisdom database into a formal training program.
During the 2010-2011 school year, Springmont School (formerly First Montessori School of Atlanta) generously allowed me to teach my Introduction to Wisdom course in their Middle School, as part of an existing course. My time slot was 2:00 - 3:00 PM, on Friday afternoons. Despite the time and day, the students were fully engaged. My old teaching juices started flowing again. Accolades from students followed. Then a parent approached me: she wanted to take the class the next time it was offered! I knew I was on to something.
I will take LifeWisdom.com as far as I can, but ultimately, this website is my enduring gift to my extraordinary daughter, whom I love with all my heart.
